How to copy a building from one bedrock minecraft server world to another
A while ago I ran a minecraft bedrock server over on https://shockbyte.com/en-gb/games/minecraft-server-hosting It got trashed and I always wanted to copy some of the building from various backups of the server together into one world to restore them and undo things.
I never quite managed to back at the time in 2021, but recently found a way to do so by copying the backed up world folders into the local MineCraft worlds folder for the game installed on windows in;
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_[…]\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds
You can then load the worlds from within MineCraft running locally on your PC, set creative mode using the command;
/gamemode creative
(entered via chat) (You must be an op and cheats must be enabled)
Then you give yourself the structure block with the following command;
/give @p structure_block
You can export buildings using the structure block on one server and import them on the new server, which was the part which never worked when trying with the dedicated bedrock server, with the import button always being grayed out and disabled.
Once you have finished copying all the buildings you want to the new world, you can then copy the world files for it from the local MineCraft world files back to your bedrock dedicated server folder or to shockbyte etc and run it as a dedicated world 24/7 on a server for players to have fun playing on yet again!
Simples!
